The Divine Heir … doesn’t want it anymore. Both choices (and everything in Sekiro, really) are about the Divine Heir’s blood - it grants that whole resurrection ability, after all. Sekiro only asks you to make a couple of big, ending-effecting choices, but each has some big implications.
